The material I use has to meet a number of features to ensure its quality. If I put a slide that has 517 lines, size 11, in the third line half the people have stopped reading… if they have read something.
Does anyone know the 6x6 rule?
The 6x6 rule: Do not put more than 6 lines with more than 6 words. When I'm doing the slide, I put, is an average, about 6 sentences with about 6 words. More or less like this, because this is not charged, it looks good on white background, this doesn't look very stacked. This is important to have it in mind, more than you can think of.
Do not read. This is a support material, it is always used to support: I put here, for people who did not come to class, the most important thing they need to know.
Use resources to emphasize words. But beware, bold, italic or animation… if I get a text that is spinning like a spiral, it tires me. Much italic is tired, very bold is tired and it loses its effect. Because if I use italics or bold for emphasis, and I put three sentences in bold, this is no longer important because if there are 5 lines and three are in bold… must be selected well, what word you want to be the "Keyword". The bold, italic and animation are to be used but with sight.
The font size… do not use a very large font. This may seem very basic, but sometimes people forget it. But you have to think that it looks different when it is projected that when you see it on the computer. This is especially true for colors.
